Maison Voyageur began on the Asian side of Istanbul. Kadıköy, Kuzguncuk, the ferry crossings. We started writing down what colors smell like, what mornings feel like in different rooms, what makes a bed feel like yours after one night and what doesn’t.
Then we moved to Lavapiés, Madrid. We built a small atelier in a quiet street where three generations of one family still live above each other. We learned that some places install themselves into your body in three days and others never do, no matter how beautiful.
Over four years between two cities, never quite choosing, we built a method. We called it H.O.M.E. It is the practice of creating a sense of home anywhere, in 12 minutes, in any room. We turned each layer of the method into a fragrance. Seven of them, hand-blended in Madrid. Seven small anchors of portable home.
